Poor Ashlyn got slammed with the barf bug hard just before Christmas. Two weeks later she got slammed again with some bizarre virus which lead to 7 days of a very lethargic little peanut with every symptom you can think of including a fever of 104.6 which gave me a small heart attack. We ended up in Urgent Care with an IV for her...a very sad day. She was so brave and I wanted to jump off a cliff seeing her hooked up to all of those gadgets. Anyway...I took these pictures on her first outing after being sick. I can't tell you how badly I missed her beautiful smile, her giggles and her goofy personality. Here's a few of my favorite smiles from my little peanut.

In Memory Of Ed Kiselica
Sadly a friend of ours from college passed away a year ago on New Years Day of this past year due to a genetic brain tumor. As a tradition his wife and 3 boys have started their own Polar Bear Plunge as a tribute to him. Jen (the wife and mom) contacted us a few months ago and asked Rob if he would be willing to go for a quick dip with the boys. Rob didn't hesitate to say yes, of course. So on January 1st, 2012 Rob joined the boys and went for a nice chilly winter dip (and it was chilly!!) at Fletcher Cove. The boys loved it!

A Beautiful Day at Mission Beach!
We spent a beautiful afternoon down at Mission Beach while the Brill Family was in town. We chowed down at The Mission, took some family pictures on the beach and cruised the never disappointing boardwalk, (why did I not taking any pictures of any of that craziness?) and ended the day with one of our favorite family games, Boxers or Briefs! Can't wait for Greg and Amy and Silas to return so we can do it all again! :)
Christmas Day! (yes, I know it's the middle of January!)
