Beach Day

We have been to the beach a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Jaedyn has been DYING to use his new boogie board, but the water is pretty dang cold right now. He tried it out once (I had my ancient camera with me otherwise I would have gotten some good pictures of that...sowee) but because of the icicles forming on his eyebrows he spent a lot of time thawing out in the nice fluffy sand behind our blanket. :) And the queen won't get near the water...as you can see.

Pink Tutus

Last week Ashlyn's ballet class had a practice recital at a getto stage in Poway. She has 2 recitals coming up so you'll be seeing more of this pink tutu. The last picture just about sums up the whole experience. Her teacher went camera crazy this day and kept wanting them to pose for the 300th picture. It was hot. We were hungry. And Ashlyn was done. :)

Egg Hunt...I know..it's May.

I totally forgot about these pictures from Easter so here they are a million weeks late. The kids had 3 egg hunts this year and this was the last of the 3, one at the casa de grandparents. In their baskets were lots of fun little treats which included the movies Ice Age, one of my personal favorites and Cinderella which Ashlyn was ecstatic about! She was so inspired by the cover that she proceeded to show me her best princess moves outside after looking at the cover. :)

T-ball goes out with a bang!

Jaedyn's first ever baseball season is over. He did great and has quite the arm for the skinny string bean that he is (must be all of that drumming). Anyway, they took away the T and started throwing the ball to the kids a few weeks ago and Jaedyn did great. During his last game, Rob surprised him and showed up which was very fun. He had lots of fun playing with Ashlyn and one of Ashlyn's best friends, Sydney (who will soon be moving which we are soooooo sad about...these two ADORE each other).

Easter....a little late

Here's an Easer preview....we decorate eggs and had multiple egg hunts. This egg hunt was with our Church playgroup...lots of fun and waaay too much candy!!!

The last hurrah!

We took one more ride out to Oceanside Pier with my mom and dad a few weeks ago to check out the gnarly waves. Some of the sets were huge, but for the most part it was just an angry ocean with winds that would turn your long hair into dreadlocks after a few minutes. We had a lovely day watching the waves crash on the rocks next to the pier and then got dinner at a small little burger joint within walking distance which turned out to be delicious.
