Birthday Party #345

We headed down to Mission Bay this past weekend for another birthday party. It was a gorgeous day...blue skies and perfect temperatures for wading in Mission Bay's poopy waters. :) A first for Ashlyn...Dad decided to let her try soda for the first time. (I know...tragic) She liked it and somehow convinced her little friend Brianna to share her soda with her.

All fun and games until mr. buzzy bee arrived.

What I love most about the Wild Animal Park is not only does it have great animals, but it's also a perfect place to just go and let the kids do whatever they want. I don't have to worry about them being too loud or making a mess....it's fabulous. On this particular day I don't even think we saw any animals...possibly just the elephants and the lorikeets. The rest of the time we ran up and down this lovely green hill a million times and played in the grass. Everything was dandy until I sat on a bee and mr. bee decided that our fun was over. (about my 6th bee sting in my life and I had an allergic reaction to this one...my leg puffed up, turned bright red, was as hard as a rock, itched like crazy and was on fire!) Anyway...it was fun and I'm glad it was me that got stung. And sorry for the miniature pictures...I'm paranoid now about running out of space!
